My name is Berta Cano, I am a professional translator and interpreter of Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish, a Chinese and Spanish ELE teacher, a lover of writing and literature, and an avid world traveler. I have studied and worked in different continents, having lived in countries such as the UK, China and Colombia. My services and experience range from healthcare translation, escort interpreting, English-Spanish sworn translation, to teaching Chinese as a foreign language to students of all ages and backgrounds.
I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting of English, Chinese and French from the University of Granada (graduating class of 2006-2011) and I subsequently trained as a teacher at the same university, where I obtained an official Master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Currently, I am also the President of the Spanish Association of Teachers for the Teaching of Chinese (AEPEC).
I am also certified as a Sworn Translator-Interpreter of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I have extensive experience as a Spanish-English-Chinese escort interpreter. My extensive experience in scientific-technical and legal-economic translation, as well as in IT tools, allows me to translate a wide variety of documents.
My training as a translator and interpreter is complemented by English and Chinese courses: TOEFL, HSK-5, Master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, UIMP immersion course, scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science, etc. I have lived as a student and employee in the UK and China for several years.
